Then fill a plastic bag with white vinegar. Attach the bag to the showerhead by slipping the top of it underneath the rubber band. Wait one hour, then remove the bag and turn on the water to flush. Polish with a soft cloth.

The main disadvantage of having a walk-in shower would have to be related to slip hazard. In other words, since its an open shower, water comes out and gathers on the floor and this means you can slip and get hurt when you get out of the shower.

A homemade shower-cleaning mixture: you'll need 1 cup of vinegar, 1/2 cup baking soda, 1 cup ammonia, and a gallon and a half of hot water. Put rubber gloves on and apply to the walls of your shower. Use a sponge to scrub well and rinse with hot water. Be sure to wipe the walls dry to prevent new mildew from forming.
