Blood collection, or the collection of blood, usually involves the removal of blood and it comes in many different forms. It's also a common term in blood sampling for laboratory analysis. Three popular methods of blood collection are: Arterial Sampling, Venipuncture Sampling and Fingerstick sampling.

This window is usually thought of as a daily limit even though it is not based on a 24-hour period. You are allowed a period of 14 consecutive hours in which to drive up to 11 hours after being off duty for 10 or more consecutive hours. The 14-consecutive-hour driving window begins when you start any kind of work.

It is a foundational principle for any laboratory test procedure that the value of the test is compromised or even negated by using specimens that have not been properly collected, labelled, handled or stored prior to and during the testing process.
